
The management of the Delta State University Teaching Hospital Oghara last week inaugurated a COVID-19 task force.
During the inauguration held at the Hospital Board Room, the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Dr Nekwu Okolugbo, stated that the task force was set up as a part of the effort to enhance the Hospital’s responsiveness to the 2nd wave of the disease. The task force is saddled with the responsibility of ensuring that staff, patients and visitors maintain the highest standards with regards to Covid-19 safety protocols. This is to minimise and prevent the spread of the disease within the hospital premises.
To this end, the CMAC tasked the force to ensure the rule of no face mask no entry is adhered to strictly. The CMAC assured members of the committee that the Management would do all it can to ensure COVID 19 protocols are strictly followed.
The Chairman of the committee, Dr Emmanuel Akpo thanked the Management for giving him and his committee members the opportunity to serve in this capacity. He promised to do his best and that the committee would not disappoint the management in this regard.
