DELSUTH Coronavirus (COVID-19) information

As you will be aware, the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation is changing rapidly and we need to make sure we’re as prepared as possible to keep people safe – which means using our resources as efficiently as possible.

That’s why here at DELSUTH we’ve updated the measures we’re taking to keep our patients safe by postponing all routine planned surgery (including day cases). We’re also reducing all outpatient appointments this includes all appointments.

This is because we are currently planning to attend to any patient who may test positive for COVID-19 in the future at our facility. Since DELSUTH has been designated an isolation center by the Delta State Government, we have to scale up our facility to prepare for any possible increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in Delta state.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, however, we must prioritise our resources to help those who are most in need.

For those patients who need to urgently care, or require immediate treatment, we are setting up ‘hot clinics’ to ensure these patients get the care they need.
These measures will help us to protect our patients, including those with COVID-19, and those with other conditions. They will also enable us to help us be as prepared as possible by training additional clinical teams who are not specialists in respiratory illness.
We will keep these changes under review. They will remain in place for at least the next two weeks. During this time, we will only carry out the most urgent operations.
